The objectives are twofold: - scientifically, on the one hand, the conference aims to bring together new French- and English-speaking perspectives on travel writing research, taking into account the debates and advances in the most current disciplines (environmental, exilic, gender, race, sensory, inverted, epistemic, identity, postcolonial, creative, digital, didactic, etc.) in order to share the methodologies of travel writing  research practiced by various European experts in the field; - collectively, on the other hand, this conference would thus serve as a lever to attract and bring together research groups currently established in different European countries, each still working independently for the moment, but all currently seeking a European network to incubate joint projects, which will soon be in the process of being realized.
